Default "Join Anytime" Timed PvP Battles

Not to go into specifics, but:
  • Maps rotate every X minutes
  • Players can enter solo or in a group of varying numbers up to 8.
  • Players can enter battle any time
  • Maps support large number of players (i.e. 32 v 32)
  • Auto assignments of players/groups to keep blue v. red in balanced numbers

These kinds of battles could support either Deathmatch or Capture the Flag style of maps.

There will have to be private server thingies unless if you want to pay for servers like people do for WoW.
I have suggested a thing like this before. Make your private server for a battle, people join anytime... yeah..

A neverending Battle?
There wound't be 'Victory' just 'kills'.

Everything should have limitations...

He said maps would rotate after X minutes, therefore there will be a timer.
You should start reading all of the details...

Private Servers would be awesome... but I doubt they would do that. Though, the day that GW comes to an end, it'd be awesome if they could release a private server version with a development kit to make your own maps, skills, etc...

well i hope to god Gw does not come to an end....

and about this topic, this seems a lil hard to implement and really whats the worth? if you just want to hop in a battle hop in ra, simple as that

I'd still like some form of FFA where you gain faction based on how long you've survived/ how many people you've killed/assisted on.

details might be

-12-24 players AB style to RA style maps.
-join any time, if a player leaves another is randomed in etc.
-faction every 30 seconds for survival.
-every 30 seconds you stay alive faction opponents gain for killing you increases.
-should you die you either A) rez at random public shrine B.) are kicked to outpost.( don't like (B.) idea but minus well post it)
-every 10-30 minutes maps rotate. person who has stayed alive the longest at that time gets X faction bonus and person who has the most kills at that time gets X faction bonus.

fairly simple FFA designed GW style. The increased faction over time encourages players to target hard to kill players instead of going for easy marks.

It also discourages players form using tank/run builds simply because after 2 minutes of being alive their worth 4x as much if someone kills them.

I can guarantee this would be more popular with the common player than Hero battles.

Like how they fixed your SB/Ri spike? The content in GW is very slim and the existing content is going to be hard to fix. This would attract many new players. Good idea.
